A missing rule returns price on request, never a guess.

How selling works today
  • The buyer in Chicago asks for a lab dip at 9 a.m. her time, and the mill answers at 9 a.m. ours.
  • COM yardage, the grade book and the MOQ sheet are three spreadsheets, and the newest one is on the sales manager’s laptop.
  • At the fair, “I’ll send the price tonight” loses to the stand two aisles over with a number on the table.
With Poly9 AI
  • Swatch and colorway answered from the record in the buyer’s time zone, while the mill sleeps.
  • COM, grade, per-yard and per-piece prices from rules you approved, the same for every rep.
  • A quote before the buyer leaves the stand, with every line traceable to a rule.
What buyers pick from

Every option, with its price change.

The picker your AI shows a textiles buyer: real swatches, the rule behind each price change, and “price on request” where no rule exists yet.

Questions textiles teams ask.

How does COM fabric pricing work?
COM (Customer’s Own Material) prices by the yardage the pattern needs. Your AI reads width and repeat from the record, works out the cut yardage and applies your per-yard price and minimum. Ask it: “18 yards of Voyage Blue, COM, for the 3585 sofa.” If the frame maker is connected, their COM frame price lands on the same quote.
Does it price from a grade matrix?
Yes. Graded fabrics price line by line from your matrix, so grade C is the same number whoever asks. Grades you have not entered come back as price on request, never a guess. Connect a furniture maker and your grades sit inside their frame pricing, with your mill name on the line.
Can buyers see the swatch before the price?
That is the order the page works in. A buyer asks for a colorway, gets the swatch and its sister colorways from the record, and only then a yardage or a size. A custom colorway is shown as a labeled AI render, so the buyer approves a picture before you commit a loom.
What about repeat, width, fire rating and rub counts?
They come from the fabric record exactly as you supplied them: width, vertical repeat, content, abrasion, fire test. Nothing is inferred from a similar cloth. A field you left empty is answered “not on file” and routed to your team, because a guessed flammability rating is worse than none.
Do sizes work for finished textiles?
Yes. Duvets, throws, table linen and runners price per piece by size from your rules, and yardage products price per yard with minimums. A buyer asking for a king duvet in the sage colorway, 200 pieces, gets the size price, the MOQ check and the lead time in one answer.
We cost in rupees and quote FOB in dollars.
Cost recipes hold your costs in your currency, and the buyer sees the quote in theirs at the rate and markup you set. The FOB port and the lead time print on the quote. Ask it: “200 king duvets, sage, FOB Mundra, in dollars.” Every line still traces back to the rule in rupees.
How fast can we quote at Heimtextil or IHGF?
Load the catalog and the rules before the show opens. At the stand a buyer names a colorway, a quantity and a size, and gets a number before they walk on. The fair page at poly9.ai/fairs/ihgf shows the digital booth and buyer collections that carry the conversation after the hall closes.
What if it doesn’t know a price?
It says “price on request” and drafts the quote request for you. It never estimates. Ask it to price an option you have not set up and watch it ask for the rule instead of inventing a number.
How long until it works?
The same day. Create an account, start with the sample catalog for your industry or add your own, and ask. Add one pricing rule and the first certified quote goes out in that session. Big catalogs get a white-glove import from us.
Do we pay per user?
No. Everyone on your team is included on every plan, and so is every module. You pay for sales actions: one credit each, $100 for a thousand, and every account starts with 250 of them free.
